(Audio) Mayor de Blasio Talks To Hot 97 About Stop & Frisk, Pedestrian Deaths & Weed Law Plans To Come

Great responses mayor! Mayor Bill de Blasio phones on over to Hot 97 and dropped some serious planning for the near-future in New York. The mayor is looking forward to assisting the NYPD and Bill Branton with channeling their stop & frisk efforts to less innocent folk and more on the criminals. “In 2011 when stops when up to 700,000, a sounding number, according to police statistics almost 90% of all those stops were innocent in every way shape or form,” says the Mayor. “Take all that time and energy and focus it on actual criminals…the innocent folks, the hard-working folks who were stopped regularly, that’s got to end,” he adds. de Blasio is working hard! Most police officers have nothing to do with themselves! I can’t! After Philadelphia police pull the, ‘stop and frisk’ method on a couple young dudes simply walking down the block, they do the bad cop/bad cop routine. Calling the dudes, “a**holes” and telling one of them that they “weaken the country!” Just so happens that one of the guys were recording the incident, and one of the officers was pretty upset about that so, he – like his friend – was slammed against a police cruiser. These guys really took it to another level when they tried to pin on them, “crossing the street while on a red light” scenario. Be real! Pissed at the radio guy and everything. Bloomberg Sues City Council Over Stop & Frisk Law?!

When Bloomberg has a point to make, the mayor of NYC intends on being heard, no matter how many times you try to shut him down. Although many can agree he’s done quite a bit to make the city better, he’s also been stubborn about a few other things, including the soda ban and Stop & Frisk. A judged ruled Stop & Frisk to be unconstitutional and required that the program have a lawyer oversee the controversial program. Bloomberg has made public statements that he believes minorities should be stopped more, and he has completely attributed Stop & Frisk to the decrease of violence in NYC. Teens March Across BK Bridge To Protest NYPD’s Stop & Frisk Policy

Last year, A record 601,055 people were stopped and questioned by the NYPD. Yesterday, hundreds of NYC teens fought back by marching across the Brooklyn Bridge to protest against the NYPD’S stop & frisk policy. These teens feel they’ve been racial profiled & unfairly judged based on their ethnicity. Amanda Mullen
