NFL names officiating crew for Super Bowl XLV
Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl The NFL has named the seven-man officiating crew for Sunday’s Super Bowl XLV between the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers. The referee will be Walt Anderson, who served as line judge in Super Bowl XXXV. He has officiated in 13 playoff games, including three conference championship games.

NFL: Hines Ward denies trip to strip club in Dallas
Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl Less than 24 hours after arriving in Dallas for Super Bowl XLV, members of the Pittsburgh Steelers sought out adult entertainment at a local gentlemen’s club, according to a report. Pittsburgh’s Hines Ward, Ike Taylor and several other Steelers teammates opted to kick off the big week Monday night with an evening watching scantily-clad exotic dancers at a Dallas strip club, the Dallas Morning News reported Monday night.

You’d be hard-pressed, though, to find two people more grateful to make the trip than Ouida Wright and her boyfriend Aaron Hermes, a Green Bay homeless couple who incredibly won a Super Bowl package — including tickets, a hotel room and travel expenses — through a contest held by the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Cities that host the big game often attract a bustling sex trade. This year, Texas authorities and advocacy groups are stepping up their anti-prostitution efforts, especially where young girls are concerned.
