NFL: Terrell Owens Goes Off On Cris Carter Over His Comments About Owens Character and Hall Of Fame

His numbers are clearly deserving but some old, crabby voters decided to leave him off the ballot because of his personality during his playing days. Last time I checked the hall of fame is based on what a player did on the field, not if you liked him personally but this is how things are.

This year’s inductees for the Pro Football Hall of Fame were announced and alas Terrell Owens wasn’t on the list, again.  We all know he has the stats and should already have a gold jacket, but the media does the voting and he didn’t have a great relationship with them to say the least.   Owens himself said the voting system is flawed.  Owens good friend Chad Johnson was asked about it and didn’t hold back.

Terrell Owens was denied a Pro Football Hall of Fame induction in his first year of eligibility despite his incredible numbers (153 TD catches, 6 All-Pro teams, 1,078 receptions).  He’s up again this year and says if he doesn’t get in on his second try, then their credibility is in question and it might be time to take a long look at how the voting is done.
