NFL: Tony Romo Goes In on the NFL For Shutting Down His Fantasy Football Convention

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was set to put on his National Fantasy Football Convention in Las Vegas in July but the NFL came and shut it down by telling players they could be violating a policy that prevents NFL players from events in connection with casinos.

Tony Romo joined twitted yesterday and he is probably already considering the idea of deleting his account. All it took was simple tweet that said “9” and the trolls were off and running. Romo had to expect this though and if he didn’t then today he is realizing just how many people hate him.

Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was this year’s recipient of the Nancy Lieberman Lifetime Achievement Award given by the basketball Hall of Famer’s foundation and accepted the award at an event in Dallas last week. Romo’s speech was mostly about giving the same kind of help he’s received over the years to the kids supported by the foundation’s work, but he closed with a prediction that he’d be winning another prize early in 2016.

Welp, it looks like Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has a big debt to fill.  More than a year ago, Romo took a selfie with Jahlil Okafor.  At the time Okafor was slated to become a highly touted freshman at Duke and posted the selfie on Instagram with a “deal” he made with Romo.  Okafor fulfilled his end and now Romo is up.


NFL: NOW the Cowboys Restructure Tony Romo’s Contract After DeMarco Murray Is Gone

Tony Romo revealed that DeMarco Murray asked him to take a pay cut so the Dallas Cowboys could work on a deal to keep him.  Romo said he would take the pay cut or restructure his contract because he really wanted to keep Murray on the team.  It wasn’t done however and Murray instead signed a five-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles worth up to $42 million.  NOW the Cowboys officially restructure Tony Romo’s contract to accommodate other players.
