Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 3/30/14 … Frozen Soundtrack Achieves Most Weeks At #1 Since Adele’s ’21’

The soundtrack to Disney’s hit film Frozen just nabbed its eighth [non-consecutive] week at number 1 on the Billboard 200, marking the longest run atop the list since Adele’s 21 had a 24-week run in 2012. With another 161k copies sold this week, the total tally is now at 1.8 million units sold, with 1.5 million of those sold in 2014 alone. Aside from Frozen, YG also remains in the top 10 this week, as well as Pharrell, with debuts from Shakira, Erica Campbell (of Mary Mary) and more. Check out the full list below!


Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 1/26/14 … Grammy Compilation Debuts Big!

The Grammy compilation album, comprised of performers and nominees from that year’s broadcast, typically drops a few weeks before the show, but this year, it was released the very same week. However, this proved to actually help, as it starts with the best debut sales week for the yearly compilation series since 2007, coming in at number 2 with 59k. Get the full top 10 list below.

Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 11/17/13 … Congrats To Jhene Aiko On A Top 10 Debut!

Lady Gaga scored her second number one album this week, when her latest album ARTPOP debuted with 258k copies sold. This pales in comparison to 2011’s Born This Way debuting with 1.1 million copies, but that project also had a $0.99 sale on Amazon during the first week. Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 11/10/13 … Congrats To Eminem On A #1 Debut!

As expected, the “Rap God” Eminem debuted at number one on the charts this week with The Marshall Mathers LP II, moving 792k copies in 7 days! Insane! This makes for the second biggest debut this year (behind JT’s The 20/20 Experience with 968k in March,) and the sixth biggest in the past 5 years. Congrats, Em!
