NBA: Phoenix Suns Finally Part With Markieff Morris & Trade Him to Washington Wizards

It’s no secret that Markieff Morris has been unhappy with the Phoenix Suns since they traded his twin brother Marcus to the Detroit Pistons.  He recently laid off the public berating of the team and reportedly changed his mind, saying that he wanted to stay.  Well it was too little too late and they traded him to the Washington Wizards just minutes before the NBA trade deadline.

NBA: Doc Rivers Dismisses Griffin Rumors: ‘We’re not trading Blake’

NBA: Report, Lakers Open To Basically Trading Everyone Except Kobe

It is safe to say this is another year to forget for the Lakers and their fans. The only saving grace at all is every game is important simply because it is Kobe’s last hurrah. Other than that, nobody would be showing up at Staples Center and damn sure nobody would show up for their away games. The front office clearly knows they stink and with that said it appears damn near the entire team is on the trading block!

NBA: Vlade Divac Reveals He Nearly Blocked the Trade That Sent Kobe Bryant to the Lakers

The Lakers made one of the best trades in NBA history in 1996 – Vlade Divac for rights to Kobe Bryant. Not only did the deal get them Kobe, shedding Divac’s salary helped them clear the cap room to sign Shaquille O’Neal.  But Divac – who’d spent his entire seven-year career with the Lakers at that point – said he nearly blocked the deal from happening.
