LL Cool J and Diddy are the latest celebrities to appear on the PBS program, Finding Your Roots. The show dives into peoples’ lineage to learn more about where they came from, and both stumbled upon new facts about their families they’d never known. Diddy learns that one of his great, great, great grandfathers was arrested for being a runaway slave, while LL connects with multiple family members he never knew he had. Wendy Williams’ Contract Extended To 2022 . . . But NOT Her Show? Hmmm

If you can’t get enough of hearing her gossip and her infamous “how you doin” then you’ll have a lot longer before it’s gone. Lionsgate has officially extended Wendy Williams’ contract by seven years, to the year 2022. However, the contract for her talk show, the Wendy Williams Show, has not yet been renewed. Common Inks HBO Television Deal

Common has just signed a two-year first-look deal with HBO. Through this contract, with the help of his manager/partner Derek Dudley and development head Nicole Dow, Common will be permitted to produce a series of projects, through his production company Freedom Road Productions. He is also currently working on a drama with HBO’s competitor Showtime. The untitled production is set in Chicago and and is preparing to shoot a pilot episode. Common opened up about the upcoming series saying, “We’re showing the world what it is to be a young person growing up in Chicago, the good and the tough parts. The humanity.” Congratulations, Commmon!
