Drake Named Spotify’s Most Streamed Artist Of 2015

It’s almost like Drake just can’t loose. Today, the 6 God himself was named Spotify’s most streamed artist of 2015. With two projects released this year, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late and What A Time To Be Alive, Drake racked up over 1.8 billion streams and 46 million listeners. To compliment Drizzy, Spotify’s most streamed female artist this year was everyone’s favorite bad gal, Rihanna. Rihanna is ending 2015 with over 1 billion streams and 57 million listeners. Overall, Spotify said 75 million listeners streamed over 20 billion hours of music this year through their service. Hit the jump for more.

2015 is on it’s way out the door, however before we ring in the New Year, Pandora has released its list of the 100 most “thumbed-up” songs of the year. Earning top slots are artists like R&B sensation The Weeknd, who managed to land two spots in the Top 10 with his hits, “The Hills” and “Earned It.” The Weeknd is joined by fellow artists Wiz Khalifa, Nicki Minaj, Fetty Wap, Trey Songz, Rihanna and more. According to Lars Murray, SVP of Pandora Music Makers Group, “Listeners flock to Pandora to hear their favorite music,” he continued, “The Thumb Hundred is unique in radio. Erykah Badu Will Host The 2015 Soul Train Awards

Today CENTRIC announced that the 2015 Soul Train Awards will be hosted by the ever-fabulous Erykah Badu. The singer-song writer will be celebrating R&B legends and the new generation in Las Vegas on Nov. 6th. This year’s nominees include Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Tyrese, Trey Songz, Chris Brown, Fetty Wap, Big Sean and many more. Being honored this year with the Legends Award is Babyface and Jill Scott will also receive first-ever Lady of Soul award.
