NBA: Amar’e Stoudemire Envisions Himself as an All-Star Under Derek Fisher’s System

With Phil Jackson as the President the Knicks will have plenty of eyes on them , expecting them to win, especially if Carmelo Anthony stays.  Anthony certainly can’t do it by himself and though Amar’e Stoudemire helped bring him here, he hasn’t been much of a second option.  Stoudemire wants to return to his previous form however and expects to return as an All-Star under new head coach Derek Fisher’s system aka Phil Jackson’s system.

TMZ Sports stopped to talk with Alexis Stoudemire in NYC yesterday and while they initially asked about reports that STAT would consider playing in Israel after next season (she says “maybe in the future”)  she also revealed some of the Jewish customs that she and Amare practice within their family.

NBA: Amare Stoudemire Says Knicks Might Be Best Team in the League on Paper

The New York Knicks are preparing to play the Chicago Bulls tonight.  It could have been a pivotal game but with the Atlanta Hawks defeat of the Miami Heat on Saturday night they officially secured the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference eliminating the Knicks from playoff contention.  While doing their pre-game interviews for tonight’s matchup the Knicks lamented over what wrong wrong this season and what their expectations were.


NBA: Amare Stoudemire Says He Wants to Stay With the Knicks & Win Championships

Amar’e Stoudemire has not lived up to the $99.7 million contract he signed in July of 2010 due to several injuries. Stoudemire’s contract expires after 2014-15 and if it’s up to him he wants to re-sign with the New York Knicks in the summer of 2015.
