Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl Unified junior welterweight titlist Lamont Peterson and former titleholder Amir Khan will meet in a rematch at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas on May 19, a little more than five months to the day after their all-action first fight went down as one of the most controversial bouts of 2011.

Hometown favorite Lamont Peterson clearly thought he won the fight. Dethroned champion Amir Khan felt he had been cheated.  Peterson, helped by referee Joe Cooper deducting two points from Khan for pushing in the seventh and 12th rounds, scored the split-decision to win the WBA and IBF junior welterweight titles on Saturday night.  Read more after the jump. @Shay_Marie x @gametimegirl
