Congrats are in order for the Portland Trailblazers young guard, C.J. McCollum! He was announced as the winner of the NBA’s most improved player award this morning and it couldn’t have went to a more deserving player.
In Game 3, Portland Trail Blazers guard C.J. McCollum accidentally elbowed Memphis Grizzlies guard Mike Conley in the face. McCollum’s elbow caught Conley in his left eye, fracturing bones around it. Conley left the game and had to undergo surgey to repair the fracture. The surgey was successful but caused some serious swelling in Conley’s face. Conley returned during game 5 to support his teammates and wasn’t shy about his busted eye being on display.
