After hanging out on the streets of Twitter and seeing everyone up in arms over HBO cancelling “How To Make It In America,” I had to look into the issue since I figured this would be of interest to our IFWT readers as well! Kate Plus 8 Canceled!!
“TLC has decided not to renew another season of Kate Plus 8,” the company announced today. “By the end of this season Kate Plus 8 will have hit the 150 episode mark (including Jon & Kate Plus 8); an exceptional milestone. TLC hopes to check in with Kate and the family periodically with specials in the future.” This is so sad! I love this show but it’s caused a divorce and LOTS of drama over the years so maybe it’s best for the kids to grow up without those cameras constantly in their face. Disney Backs Out Of Johnny Depp’s “The Lone Ranger”
Disney has announced that it is backing out of Johnny Depp’s “The Lone Ranger.” There has been no official statement from Disney as to why they have decided not to move forward with the project but rumor has it that the budget for the Jerry Bruckheimer produced movie was more than what Disney wanted to spend. Depp was really looking forward to “The Lone Ranger” regardless of the flop that was “Cowboys and Aliens.” Maybe Disney canceled their involvement in the movies since cowboy themed movies seem to be failing and fading away. Breaking News: George Lopez Show Cancelled!!
This comes as a pretty big surprise to me!! A lot of extremely notable celebs were constantly stopping by the show and tweeting about how much they enjoyed it, so I figured it was doing pretty well. Guess I figured wrong!! After two seasons on air, TBS has announced they will be cancelling the comedian’s late night talk show. Hit the jump for details. Marisa Mendez
