Conor McGregor talked a little too much and was unable to back any of it up as he was defeated via choke hold by Nate Diaz last night at UFC 196. You may have thought Diaz lost by the way his face looked if you saw him after the fight but he was able to sustain some punishment but stay focused. In the other main event, the legend of Holly Holm was also short lived as she lost to Miesha Tate, pulling her back down to reality after her legendary win over Ronda Rousey.

Conor McGregor seems willing to at least have discussions with Floyd Mayweather and his camp about a potential fight down the road. Obviously many things would have to be hashed out, mainly money and just as important what kind of fight it would be. With Manny Pacquiao fading into the darkness fast after his comments about gay people, if Floyd ever was to fight one more time the truth is the biggest headlines would be if he fought McGregor even though he is from a different sport.

We already know that UFC champ Conor McGregor likes to go off at the mouth (well the fists too) but things boiled over during a press conference with Nate Diaz for UFC 196, aka good promo. McGregor called Nate Diaz a “cholo gangsta from the hood” in one of the most hate-fueled pre-fight press conferences ever.

McGregor fired back in an Instagram post noting the history of his Irish heritage and invited Mayweather to set up a fight between them. While promoting UFC 197, McGregor was asked about Mayweather’s comments again and he was still fuming.
