NBA: Mark Cuban Agrees With David Stern’s $250K Fine on Spurs But Says League Schedule is Stupid

Mark Cuban agreeing with David Stern may be odd but you have to remember Mark Cuban is a businessman and many of his sentiments toward the league have echoed that.  So it’s not really a surprise that he would agree with Stern’s decision to fine the Spurs for sending star players home during a huge game.  The game was nationally televised on TNT and nobody really wanted to watch the Heat play the Spurs b-team so that means a dent in ratings and dent in revenue.  Read more after the jump. NBA: Spurs Coach Gregg Popovich Addresses His Feelings on David Stern’s $250,000 Fine

David Stern handed down a $250,000 fine on the San Antonio Spurs when coach Gregg Popovich decided to rest four healthy players.  Popovich sent Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobli, Tony Parker and Danny Green home rather than making them play against the Miami Heat in a nationally televised game.  Since then Stern has given his explanation as to why he did it but everyone has been waiting for the reaction of the ever candid but prompt coach Popovich.  Read more after the jump. NBA: Breaking News! Spurs Fined $250K By The NBA

Just a few minutes ago, NBA commissioner David Stern came down hard on the San Antonio Spurs organization. The NBA fined the team $250K for sending their marquee players Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobli home on a commercial flight before the start of the game with the Miami Heat. Commissioner Stern was very upset with the way the Spurs went about it and the fact that fans were deprived of the chance to see the great players in person. Check the link below for the full story. By now if your an NBA fan, you have heard that last night the coach of the San Antonio Spurs chose to send his 4 best players home to get some rest, instead of play them on a nationally televised game against the Miami heat. The commissioner David Stern has said there will be severe sanctions against the Spurs for doing so. There is no said rule that a coach can not rest his players, however the commissioner was very upset with the fact that some fans may of wanted to see the Spurs best players and were robbed of the chance.
