(UPDATE) NBA: Celtics & Clippers in Serious Talks to Send Doc Rivers & Kevin Garnett to LA

There’s been reports that Doc Rivers and the LA Clippers have mutual interest but now there’s speculation that Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce could be taking the trip with him.  Read more after the jump.


NBA: Coach Swap? Celtics Considering Vinny Del Negro if Doc Rivers Leaves

Doc Rivers isn’t sure if he will return as the head coach of the Boston Celtics.  There’s been reports of him “needing a change” and having “mutual interest with the Los Angeles Clippers”.  Well should Rivers leave there’s a chance the Clippers ousted coach Vinny Del Negro could end up in Boston completing the coach swap.  Read more after the jump.


NBA: Denied!! Brooklyn Nets Get Shut Down When They Ask To Speak With Who?

When the Brooklyn Nets decided not to hire interim coach P.J. Carlesimo as the full time coach for next season, you figured they were going to try and bring a big name in to coach the team and try to improve on their first round playoff exit from this season. Phil Jackson said no already so that only leaves a couple headline catching names out there to possibly coach the Nets. Well you can now officially cross Doc Rivers off the list as well. Brooklyn asked the Celtics for permission to speak with Doc and got shut down with the quickness. See what happened after the jump.


NBA: Kevin Garnett Likely Played His Last Game With Doc Rivers & the Boston Celtics

Much of  last year there was speculation as to whether or not Kevin Garnett would retire.  Instead he came back and joined Paul Pierce as the Boston Celtics went for another run.  Unfortunately they lost Rajon Rondo to an ACL tear and battled injuries throughout the season themselves.  In the first round of the playoffs they rallied to force a game six after the Knicks took a commanding 3-0 series lead.  The run ended Friday night in Boston as the Knicks withstood their comeback and defeated the Celtics 88-80.  The game might’ve been the last for Garnett.  Read more after the jump.


NBA: Rajon Rondo Rejoins the Celtics Bench But There Are Conditions

The Boston Celtics are hanging in there with the 7th seed in the Eastern Conference despite losing star point guard Rajon Rondo.  I remember the sad looks on their faces when they heard the news that Rondo tore his ACL and wouldn’t return to the court.  Well now he’s returned to the sideline but things have to be a little different.

I’m not an athlete but I”ve sprained my ankle before and it’s pretty painful.  The Celtics however showed very little sympathy for Courtney Lee when he sprained his ankle during the Celtics loss to the Dallas Mavericks last night.  Read more after the jump.
