NFL: Saints QB Drew Brees Says the NFL is “Out of Control”

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has been very vocal and critical of the suspensions involving his team surrounding bounty allegations.  The players have appealed their suspensions with Jonathan Vilma leading the way.  Many have felt the process is unfair with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell being in essence the judge and the jury.  Brees now says the NFL is “out of control”.  Read more after the jump. NFL: Drew Brees Responds to Terry Bradshaw’s Criticism

After Drew Brees made NFL history Sunday night by throwing a touchdown pass in his 48th consecutive game, most were happy for the New Orleans Saints quarterback. Terry Bradshaw ripped Drew Brees in an interview on Tuesday saying he wasn’t impressed that Drew Brees broke Johnny Unitas’ record. He said he’s not into breaking records, he’s into winning Super Bowls. NFL: Congrats to Drew Brees! Brees Breaks Johnny Unitas’ Record!

Congrats to Drew Brees!  He broke Hall of Fame quarterback Johnny Unitas’ record for consecutive games with a touchdown pass set from 1956-60. He tied the record of 47 straight games last weekend in Green Bay and broke it tonight against the Chargers with number 48.  Brees connected with Devery Henderson on a 40-yard scoring pass with 3:58 left in the first quarter ofthe Saints’ home matchup with the San Diego Chargers.
