(Video) NBA: Dwyane Wade Explains Conversation He Had With LeBron & CP3 During Free Agency

It was always assumed that Dwyane Wade would play his entire career and retire with the Miami Heat but that isn’t the case.  It was initially believed the standoff between him and Heat president Pat Riley was just bluffs and they would eventually come to a deal like before but this time the two sides were off.  Wade wanted a two-year, $50 million contract that many consider a ‘Kobe Bryant deal’; i.e a deal to show gratitude and appreciation for the years the franchise player put in, and to keep him happy and on the team.  Also, Wade had taken pay cuts in previous years and has never been the highest paid player on the team.  It seemed inevitable that he would get that deal but Riley refused to go above two-years, $40 million.  During this time, Wade was on vacation with his ‘Brotherhood’ of LeBron James and Chris Paul.  They gave him advice on his situation.

He spoke for about 45 minutes and addressed some of his new teammates, making it clear that the Bulls are Jimmy Butler’s team.

(Video) NBA: Birdman Speaks On Dwyane Wade Leaving Miami, Calls Kevin Durant “Disrespectful”

Birdman made the rounds at ESPN yesterday, where he appeared on a couple different shows to talk about his own new show, “Music Moguls” which airs on BET, following the lives of himself, Snoop, Damon Dash and others but he was also there to talk sports. Birdman has been seen many times sitting courtside during Miami Heat games and you have to expect you won’t see him as much now that Dwyane Wade is gone. He spoke on the way Pat Riley handled the whole situation in allowing Wade to leave, which quickly drew comparisons on twitter to the way Birdman operates with Lil Wayne. He wasn’t done there however. He also went on “The Dan LeBatard Show With Stugotz”, where he touched on the situation in OKC, which led him to call Durant “Disrespectful”.
