Auto:(Auto Show Pics) 2014 Infiniti Q50, Replaces G37

In 2012 Infiniti created a huge buzz when they announced moving forward they were changing the names of their vehicles and came up with a new naming system. They had the “G” series, “M” series, FX, QX, etc. Some people were actually upset with the name changes. Not anymore. Out with the old and in with the new. At the auto show in Detroit today, Infinity revealed the 2014 Q50. If you are still mad at the name changes, you need to get your head examined, because this car is a new standard for the brand. You want technology, then this is the car for you. Amongst other things, the Q50 has a steering system that gives drivers choices on how stiff the steering is, and an automated distance control feature that watches not only the car in front of you, but the vehicle in front of that one. This is the first makeover for what was the entry level model of Infiniti since 2007, but this is a big upgrade from the “G” series cars. The Q50 will also come in a hybrid model as well. Infiniti in my opinion is a car drivers love to drive, if that makes sense. Meaning they are cars people love to get out on the open road and make the engine go, or test the handling on curvy roads, and the motor in this car is what you expect. The base Q50 model will retain its 328-hp, 3.7-liter V-6 with 7-speed automatic transmission.…

Auto: Infiniti Coming Soon With 550HP “Super Sedan”

Infiniti has been causing the biggest buzz amongst the car makers the past few days because they decided to change the name of their vehicles starting with the 2014 models. Another reason for excitement of Infiniti fans is the mention of a 550Hp “Super Sedan” by the company president Johan De Nysschen. He said the company is in the process of making a version of the “M” sedan with a forced induction v6 which will provide up to 550HP. Cant wait to see pics of this car. Check more after the jump. Auto: Infiniti Clarifies New Car Names Even Further

There has been alot of buzz surrounding the announcement, and even some confusion as to which new names belong to which vehicles. Infiniti took to their facebook page today to explain it even easier with a picture of the cars and the names. Take a look at the pic above in the gallery. IamJOE357

(Video) Auto Talk: Infiniti FX Sebastian Vettel Version sounds insane

Two gents at this past weekend’s Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK got the chance to sit in the Infiniti FX Sebastian Vettel Version, and not only did they start it up, but they recorded its sound. The 414-horsepower crossover surprises not only with its sky-high asking price of €120,000 (circa $155k USD), but also with a remarkably exciting soundtrack. Pushing the button adjacent to the ashtray triggers a Mr. Hyde routine on the exhaust note, turning the rich baritone burble from intimidation to deepest fear. Funk Flex

Auto Talk: Infiniti still wants halo car, GT-R variant ruled out

Take a good look at the lineup of cars at Infiniti. Notice anything interesting? We see sedans of multiple shapes and sizes, wagon-like crossovers, a hybrid and even a massive SUV, which is the most expensive machine the company has on offer. What we don’t see, though, is a clear range-topper. Funk Flex
