NFL: Cowboys Sign Jon Kitna At QB, Romo Still Might Play

Must be a crazy week for Jon Kitna. Just a few days ago he was enjoying his high school teaching and coaching job in Tacoma, Washington. But when the NFL calls, you go! Kitna has officially been signed by the Cowboys after reports of Tony Romo being out for the rest of the season. Kitna has not played since week 10 of the 2011 season when he was with the Cowboys. That is most likely the main reason they chose to bring him in over other back quarterbacks. He is already familiar with the system and the Cowboys are just not sure if Kyle Orton will perform well if he starts this Sunday in a must win game against the Eagles. Hit the jump.


NFL: Jon Kitna Retires & Becomes a High School Math Teacher

Many of you were probably unaware Jon Kitna had retired from the NFL. (He did, back in January after wrapping his 15th season.)  Kitna wasted no time in moving on with his life, embarking on a new career as a high school math teacher and football coach in Tacoma, Wash.  Read more after the jump.
