What better way to bring in your 38th birthday than to throw a “hot mess” themed birthday party! Actress Kate Hudson, who celebrated her b-day on April 23st, threw a huge private party in Pacific Palisades, California along with her fellow birthday buds Derek Blasberg and Jennifer Meyer. She had her fellow celebrity buds such as Jessica Alba and Sara Foster in the building, as well. Kate took on the role very literal of being a “hot mess” by sporting crazy hair, smeared make-up, fishnets, trucker hat, big boots and more. Blasberg poked fun at the event on his Instagram page with a photo that he captioned, “Last night me and these lovely ladies had a threesome birthday party and the theme was ‘Hot Mess’ and none of us needed to go shopping for costumes.” HA, love it! Kate Hudson opens up in the October issue of Red Magazine and addressed eating disorder rumors that have plagued her career. Although the actress has had two children, she is adamant that her slim figure is a result of exercise and dieting. The 35 year old expressed how she would never have an eating disorder, explaining she wanted girls to “love themselves”. Hudson expressed how she doesn’t feel eating disorders should be taken lightly or should be “plastered on the cover of a magazine” because it is a serious sickness.
