MLB: Matt Kemp Speaks on Ryan Braun; Thinks He Should Lose ’11 MVP

I have a feeling a lot of fans will agree with Kemp on this one.  Many believed in Braun and are very disappointed.  Matt Kemp, who was runner-up to Ryan Braun in voting for the 2011 National League Most Valuable Player award, thinks suspended Braun should be stripped of the honor. A few weeks ago we shared a video with you of Matt Kemp (not knowing he was being recorded) signing an autograph and then proceeded to take off his hat, jersey and shoes and give it to a cancer-stricken fan (given 90 days to live). The video went viral.  It was just such a touching moment. Well we’re now learning that Kemp didn’t stop there. Check out what he did this past weekend for that same fan.  You’re an amazing man Mr. Kemp.


MLB: Matt Kemp To Donate $1K to OKC Tornado Victims For Every Home Run He Hits

What generosity and class.  Hopefully more people will step up and help out as well.  Matt Kemp will be helping the Oklahoma City tornado victims in his own special way. He announced on twitter that he’s going to donate $1,000 for every home run he hits.  Check out his tweet after the jump…

MLB: Matt Kemp Threatens Carlos Quentin As Police Break Up Fight Between the Two in the Parking Lot

The bench clearing brawl that occurred between the Dodgers and the Padres didn’t end on the field, it continued into the parking lot.  Dodgers slugger Matt Kemp confronted San Diego’s Carlos Quentin as they were leaving Petco Park and things got real testy as police had to intervene.  Read more after the jump.
