NBA: Kevin Martin Says He Considered Taking Less Money to Stay With the Thunder

For much of Kevin Martin’s career he was a starter and important piece to his team.  Last year with the Oklahoma City Thunder he took on the sixth man role and became a vital piece off the bench.  Due to salary cap issues the Thunder could only offer Martin a contract significantly less than the Minnesota Timberwolves who he in turned signed with.  Often players are faced with the option of taking less money for the chance to win a championship and Martin says he did consider doing that but believes the Timberwolves have a great young squad.  Read more after the jump.

NBA: Brandon Roy Released By Minnesota Timberwolves Likely Ending His Career

I always wished the best for Brandon Roy considering his talent and drive but things just didn’t work out for the young player.  Roy retired from the Portland Trailblazers after suffering several knee injuries and being unable to play.  While retired he continued to work out and attempted to make a comeback with the help of David Khan and the Minnesota Timberwolves.  Unfortunately for Roy, Khan is out as GM and so is he as a player.  Read more after the jump.


NBA: Kevin Love Admits He Might Not Play For the Rest of the Season

Kevin Love says his goal is to play in the final eight to 12 games of the season, and doctors will re-examine his hand in two to three weeks. But Love admitted on Friday that there’s a chance he won’t return this season.   Read more after the jump.
