NASA made a huge discovery during their Kepler mission… What they discovered is that there are two new planetary systems that we never knew about. These planetary systems are in a habitable zone, three of the five planets found are super-Earth like and may be suitable for water, which means life-forms are a possibility. NASA To Catch An Asteroid & Land On It?!?

Obama’s budget proposal is going through Congress next week, and in it $100 million is set aside for a new project where we “lasso” an asteroid, land on it and discover what’s on it. The US is going to mine the materials on the asteroid and also try to figure out an action plan if asteroids were to threaten the earth again. Check out the rest of the proposal after the jump.


NASA Say’s 2012 Was The 9th Warmest Year On Record (Video)

NASA Discovers Water On Mercury!!!

On Thursday NASA announced that their Messenger probe discovered ice poles on Mercury, according to David Lawrence a Messenger Scientist at Johns Hopkins University. According to the probe the hydrogen levels suggest that there is ice water on Mercury, the closest planet to the sun. The probe has taken over 100,000 photos of Mercury. Hit the jump for more.
