It’s finally here baseball fans!  The Texas Rangers & Houston Astros opened the 2013 MLB season last night (Rick Ankiel and the Astros made an impressive debut in the AL, trouncing the Texas Rangers 8-2), but Opening Day is today & we have 12 games on tap! Barclays Center Opens on Sept. 28.

Dear Brooklyn it’s been a long time coming but let the countdown begin. Today marks one month, that’s 30 days, until the highly anticipated opening of Barclays Center. MLB: Mets Have ‘Several Thousand’ Tickets For Opening Day

According to the team’s executive vice president of business operations, Dave Howard, “several thousand” tickets are still available for Opening Day against the Braves.

MLB: Opening Day Today!!! Triple Header starting with the Yankees at 1p!

Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl All three games Thursday, March 31, will be on ESPN: Detroit at N.Y. Yankees (1 p.m. ET), San Diego at St. Louis (4 p.m.) and San Francisco at L.A. Dodgers (8 p.m.). The season will open on a day other than a Sunday or a Monday for the first time since 1998 (excluding special international events), and for the first time on a Thursday since 1976.
