Talib Kweli Recounts His Trip To Ferguson Via REVOLT

Brooklyn-bred emcee Talib Kweli joined the rising number of protesters in Ferguson, Missouri. Just like the others standing united, he was verbally attacked and threatened by police, to say the least. According to REVOLT, marching alongside was activist and noted journalist Rosa Clemente, poet Jessica Care Moore, and members of the Fellowship of Reconciliation and Dream Defenders. Father Of Indian Gang Rape Victim Finally Reveals Her Identity!

The father of the 23-year-old gang rape victim that caused protests in all of India has finally revealed her identity.  Her name was Jyoti Singh Pandey  and he claims that he did so in order to provide some type of courage to women who have survived these type of brutal attacks.  His daughter died a couple days after being raped and beaten by a mob, they had inserted a metal rod into her that caused internal damage.  Her death caused protests in women’s rights. A 23-year-old student was gang raped in India about two weeks ago. She was raped with a metal rod and badly beaten aboard a bus, she survived up until yesterday. Last week she arose in her hospital bed and said that she wanted justice and also to survive! Her tragic case has set off protests in India for women’s rights and justice for the student. Her body was moved to Singapore in order to get better medical help, but she did not survive and her corpse was moved back to India. Protesters want the men responsible for her brutal rape and death to be killed in public in order to teach others a lesson. Hit the jump for the pics. Steph B
