At last, the world is hearing more of what they want from Andre 3000. According to an interview with The New York Times with the ATLien, we can soon expect a solo LP. According to REVOLT, Benjamin responded with, “I know this may sound morbid, but…if I were to die today, I have all these half-songs on my hard drive, and I don’t want that,” revealing a solo album could come sooner than we may think. Travis Scott’s DJ Talks To REVOLT About “Days Before Rodeo”

Longtime friend and collaborator with Travis Scott, DJ Chase B was caught by REVOLT to offer some insight to the artist’s upcoming mixtape, “Days Before Rodeo.” In the interview, Chase notes the fact that Scott took some risks when it came to recording this project. “This one was much more organic. Owl Pharaoh was a working process for a good two, three years, but this one was a lot more organic. There’s a lot of instrumentals that Travi$ typically wouldn’t hop on like, ‘Drugs You Should Try It,’ ‘Grey,’ and even ‘Backyard.’ You wouldn’t [normally] hear Trav or even features on instrumentals like that.” See the interview after the jump.

Let’s play the blame game… Looks like Yeezy may have ruffled some feathers when making his 2010 masterpiece, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. According to REVOLT, one sample wasn’t cleared for “Blame Game.” They go on saying, “[the song] reinterprets the central melody from mysterious electronic auteur Aphex Twin’s “Avril 14th.” Richard James, best known as Aphex Twin, is pretty candid when it comes to what happened.
