The 8th annual Rock the Bells Festival kicked off last night at then San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernardino, Calif., and it was definitely a concert to remember. Nas brought out L.A. Laker Ron Artest for “Memory Lane” off Illmatic, then performed “Ghetto Dreams” with Common for the first time live, and Lauryn Hill rocked the stage just weeks after giving birth to her sixth child. Last night was the first night of Rock The Bells 2011 at the San Manuel Amphitheater in San Benardino, CA. Artists such as Nas, Mobb Deep, Slaughterhouse, BlackStar, and more took to the stage as part of the three show festival. During his set, Nas surprised fans by bringing Ron Artest onstage. He named 5 former NBA players (Charles Oakley, Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, Xavier McDaniel & Danny Ainge) he’d be interested in fighting in a MMA cage. The one current player Shaq mentioned was Ron Artest.
