NBA:(Video,Photo) Former NBA Player Rudy Fernandez Gets Punched In The Face In Europe

Rudy Fernandez was a pretty solid player in the NBA. I would not be surprised at all if he was back in the NBA next season, he just decided to play in his native Spain this season with Real Madrid. Seems Rudy has been stirring things up across the Atlantic and has become hated by fans in Lithuania, and I mean literally hated. In a game earlier this season, he was kind of pushing players buttons from the team from Lithuania and they did not appreciate it. Now yesterday, Real Madrid played an away game in Lithuania and it was on. Reports say a pair of brothers, that are known for being cult sports fans in the country, waited for him to come out of the arena and ran up on him. Fernandez was allegedly punched in the face very hard to the point his face was leaking blood. Team security was there but wasn’t quick enough to prevent it, but they did detain the brothers until police arrived. The video after the jump shows the first time earlier this season when the teams played so you can see Rudy being an instigator. Check the photos in the gallery to see the brothers enjoying a beer after being bailed out of jail and see how the crowd in Lithuania feels about Fernandez.
