For the 2014 NBA Sprite Slam Dunk contest they decided to change up the rules including a “Freestyle” and “Battle” round.  With the exception of John Wall’s great dunk and maybe a couple others, the contest pretty much fell flat.  People wanted the old format back including former Dunk Contest participant, Tracy McGrady.

The Sprite Slam Dunk contest did NOT live up to the hype.  Despite there not being any big names people still expected a great show due to the high flyers and power dunkers in the competition.  Unfortunately it fell short and was so bad some NBA stars started throwing their own names in the mix for possibly next year.  Check out who after the jump.

(Video) NBA: James “Flight” White 2-Handed Dunk 1 Step From the Free-throw Line!

I’m sorry but James White clearly got robbed on this dunk only getting a 45.  James “Flight” White of the New York Knicks brought out a crew of flight attendants and tried to take off from the free-throw line.  He first attempt failed but the second attempt was crazy as he flew through the air for a two-handed dunk, one step inside the free throw line.  Check it out after the jump.
