NBA: Clippers Rip Refs After Being Called for 7 Technical Fouls in Loss to Nuggets!

The L.A. Clippers were called for a ridiculous 7 technical fouls, including two flagrants and three techs in 30 seconds during the fourth quarter of Friday’s 109-106 loss to the Nuggets.

Down by two at Duke, Syracuse’s C.J. Fair drove baseline and seemingly had a layup-and-foul with 10.4 seconds left. Instead, the referees called a charge on Fair, giving the ball back to the Blue Devils.  Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim didn’t agree.

Just cause some NBA players make alot of money, doesn’t mean they want to spend it. TMZ, caught up with Lakers Jody Meeks and Jordan Hill outside a restaurant in L.A. where they discussed the fact that the Lakers as a team have NO technical fouls called on them this season. The main reason? They can’t afford to be paying the fines that come along with those fouls. For the record the league fines players $1,000 for their first two technical fouls, $1,500 each for the next two, and $2,000 for #s 5 and 6. Hit the jump for the video.

Something you definitely do not see everyday. Two WNBA players were given technical fouls after one of them kissed the other on the cheek. Phoenix Mercury star Diana Taurasi and Minnesota Lynx Seimone Augustus were getting frustrated with each other on the court. After a little bit of body bumps and slight shoves, the ref comes to step in to stop anything from happening, and that is when Taurasi planted a wet one on the cheek of Augustus. She did not care about it, the two players have known each other since they were 12 years old, but for whatever reason the ref did not like it and gave the techs’. Hit the jump for the video.


NBA: Pacers Coach Frank Vogel Calls $22K In Technical Fines ‘Money Well Spent’

Pacers head coach Frank Vogel has a league high nine technical fouls this season, with George Karl of the Nuggets and Doc Rivers of the Celtics just below him on that list.  What he had to say in response to that revelation was pretty funny.  Read more after the jump.
