Childish Gambino took to the BBC Radio studio to not only give his cover on a few hits, including his own, but also chose to discuss the success of his latest project ‘because the internet’. During this interview Gambino spoke on Drake’s Trophies beat originally coming to him first.

To join in on the festivities, Drizzy Drake hit up the event and performed “Trophies” and “We Made It” for the party-goers. This past weekend was abuzz with Drake dropping two new songs before the year is up. First it was the “We Made It” freestyle with Soulja Boy and then it was the long awaited “Trophies” produced by Hit-Boy. Though the rough version of “Trophies” hit the Internet a few hours early, now we have the official studio version with hook included. Drizzy just won’t let 2013 end without him making a statement.


Drake Announces He’ll Be Dropping Up To FIVE Unreleased Records Before 2014

He just released his third album Nothing Was The Same earlier this fall, but Drake already has more music for fans to bump to for 2013. Similar to how he dropped multiple ‘just because’ records in June as the prelude to NTWS, Drizzy will follow the same formula for December. “Not an EP, but maybe a blog thing like how I did ‘Versace,’ ‘The Motion,’ all those in one night,” Drake told Vibe. “I’ll probably do ‘Trophies’ and three or four other records.” Among the records, he says, could quite possily be the “Wu-Tang Forever” remix as well. Can’t wait!

Talk about DREAMS! Hit Boy has a lot going on at the moment – in the spotlight for the production of Drake’s, “Trophies” track – and, with the goals he’s trying to reach, stopping is not an option. The producer/rapper informs Life+Times that he wants to be on the billionaire plateau like Jay Z. “I want to be on his level one day, and I feel like I for sure can.” With that in mind, Hit Boy understands that he has a ways to go. “I’m very far away from that right now.” Well, if you believe it, you can achieve it. The, “Fan” artist is well on his way working with talent of Drake, Kanye West and Lil Wayne’s caliber. Despite what the beat maker says about Drake, they still make a great team.
