Yahoo Trying To Go Mobile Now!?!

Yahoo acquired Jybe, a start-up mobile company that was founded by former employees. Jybe, developed a mobile app that recommends movies, books and restaurants based on data contained in social networks. Yahoo will shut down the Jybe service and the former Yahoo employees will work on helping Yahoo add to its product line up.


Jay-Z To Embark On A Tour With WHO ?!?!

YAHOO! is doing things BIG now. I guess with Google & Bing on the scene, they need to stop back into the light. The search engine/e-mail providers, beginning May 3rd in NY and ending July 14th in London will have their first music tour and listen who the headliners are: Jigga man & Kendrick Lamar. They pulled out all of the stops for this one. The tour will include other artists such as J. Cole, Frank Ocean, and Justin Timberlake, just to get your feet wet. New Yahoo CEO Ends Telecommuting For Employers, Causes Outrage

Marissa Mayer the New CEO of Yahoo feels that it’s important for Yahoo employees to report to their offices instead of telecommuting all the time. While Telecommuting has many perks Mayer believes that Yahoo can only achieve it’s full potential by being present and making real life connections. The kinds of connections that happen in the hallways of a business or the ideas that are drawn up while at lunch with a coworker are things that would seldom occur in a society where telecommuting is the norm, it automatically sets you apart because you’re physically separated. So Yahoo has been busy this week revamping (more like copying) their email service and today they borrow another idea for their Flickr service. Yahoo taking a page from Twitter has added filters as on option for altering your pictures online. So currently Yahoo is 2 for 2 on the borrowing of ideas and has’nt done anything new as a brand. Tech Talk News: Yahoo’s New Email Service Looks Like Gmail !!!

So yesterday Yahoo revamped their email client, and after taking a look at the revamped product i’m defintely not impressed. After using Google’s Gmail for so many years i became accustomed to a certain look. And will instead innovating their client it looks like Yahoo just copied Gmail’s format and slapped some pink on it well now you have Yahoo mail.
