Ford is continuing its tradition of auctioning off a Mustang for charity at Barrett-Jackson this month by offering a one-off 2012 Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca painted Grabber Blue.

Regular production versions of the car will only be offered in either black or silver with red accents. “Since this Boss Mustang will have a very low production number and be specially built for our 40th anniversary event, the new owner will have a special piece of performance history for their collection,” says Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson.

Ford has previously offered special Mustangs for charity at Barrett-Jackson including the first production Shelby GT500KR, the first production 2010 Shelby GT500, and a Daytona 500 pace car. This year, all proceeds of the sale above the car’s MSRP will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation to help find a cure for Type 1 diabetes.
