The album that hit number 1 this week comes with a negative connotation: it’s the lowest selling number one in history! Cake’s “Showroom of Compassion” takes the spot with 44k. It even beat out last week’s number one numbers, which held the record up until now. Hey, a number 1 is a number 1 though, right? Cage the Elephant’s new “Thank You Happy Birthday” debuts at number 2 with 39k, while last week’s number 1, Taylor Swift’s “Speak Now,” moves to number 3 at 35k. Bruno Mars takes number 4 with 32k and Nicki Minaj continues to hold strong at in the top 5 with 32k as well. The “Country Strong” soundtrack rises to number 6 with 29k.  Country act Steel Magnolia is at number 7 with 28k. RiRi’s “Loud” stays strong in the top 10 as well, landing at number 8 with 28k. Mumford & Sons’ “Sigh No More”, Kanye’s My Beautifuk Dark Twisted Fantasy round out the top 10 with 26k and 25k, respectively.
