Babies having babies…so sad!! But the story gets even more sad…the 12-year-old Dutch girl that gave birth to a baby on a school trip last week didn’t even know she was pregnant!! And police have their suspicions that it was sexual abuse!! Read on for the details.
(HP) – Police are now seeking the father of the child, according to the AP. Teachers realized that the stomach pains she had been complaining were in fact labor pains.
The girl, from Grogingen, over 100 miles from Amsterdam gave birth to a perfectly healthy baby girl in a nearby building after an ambulance arrived.
So far, she’s refused to name the father, but police have their suspicions.

Family members said that the schoolgirl’s father previously sexually abused another older daughter and served two years in jail for the sex crime, according to the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.
The girl was living with her father and brother after he won custody following a divorce from their mother, who was originally from Suriname, a former Dutch colony in South America.
The offense is punishable because the girl was 11 when she was abused. Dutch law states that any sex with a minor under 12 is a criminal offense automatically.
