A show that has been on the air since 1988 (just after I was born!!) was sadly cancelled today. Hit the jump for details.
Fox has cancelled America’s Most Wanted. Of course, money is the issue.
To keep the series alive though, it will live through four, two-hour quarterly specials throughout the year as well as repeats.
Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly revealed:
“John Walsh has been an important guy at network for a long time. It’s been an important show for us historically. We haven’t made money on the show in quite awhile. It wasn’t particularly viable. We wanted to keep the franchise alive. John is having conversations about ways to keep the series alive.
We’re going to be in originals across our schedule. We want to be able to play repeats to give the audience a chance to catch up and that’s one of the few places we can do that.â€

I am sad to see it go…but i guess if it isn’t making any money then it’s inevitable that they would cancel it…
