This year Dyckman did something new in association with Nike creating Team Nike comprised of  some of the best streetballers in NYC.  The lineup includes Kenny “K-Satt” Satterfield, Keydren “Kee Kee” Clark, Adris “Too Hard To Guard” Deleon, Anthony “I Robot” Glover, Quentin “T2” Hosley, Allan “Shep” Shepard, Anthony “Afrika” Pimble, Antwan “Anti Freeze” Dobie, Vernon “Vern” Goodridge, BJ “The Beast” McFarland.  They’re coached by the veteran streetball legend Coach Bingo.

The championship game provided Team Nike with the chance to get revenge against Ooh Way Records whom they’d lost to nearly a month earlier, in what was called the Game of the Decade.  Ooh Way Records led by stars Sundiata “Yatta” Gaines of the New Jersey Nets, Dwight “Top Shelf” Hardy of the St. John’s Red Storm, and Darren “DP” Phillips.  Ron Artest is also apart of Ooh Way but he was unable to participate in these two games.

Finally gametime with the park filled to capacity and people hanging behind and on the gates just to get a glimpse of the action.  Team Nike built an early lead with T2 hitting deep 3-pointers and Too Hard to Guard facilitating the offense.  Ooh Way soon got back into the game led by Yatta who scored a flurry of points, hitting jumpers and driving to the basket, cutting Team Nike’s 21-14 lead.  With the guards Yatta and Hardy working the perimeter DP went to work in the post, battling with I Robot.  Team Nike’s lead went down to two.  A layup from Hardy and two foul shots from DP, gave Ooh Way their first lead of the game.  Yatta rebounded a Team Nike miss and went coast to coast scoring a layup in the final seconds and putting Ooh Way up 29-26 to end the first half.

The second half was a battle of the guards with Deleon and Hardy matching each other bucket for bucket.  Deleon drove hard to the  basket getting the and-one, putting Nike back up 40-38.  Yatta answered Deleon hitting three straight 3-pointers putting Ooh Way up 49-40 with five minutes left.  K Satt took over showing his leadership position and scored twice in the lane cutting the lead to three.  Kee Kee was sent to the line and hit one of two.  Hardy lost the ball and Kee Kee recovered it and was put back on the line with less than 30 seconds left.  Hitting both freethrows he tied the game.  Kee Kee managed to secure the ball once more and took a half court shot with the clock winding down and the crowd holding their breaths.  The buzzer sounded and the ball bounced off the rim sending the game into overtime.

I Robot began overtime with a and-one, and with the help of K Satt they gave Team Nike an early lead.  Yatta answered with a jumper and DP took over tying the game at 67 with 2:17 left.  With 30 seconds left an assist from Fab led to a layup by Hardy putting Ooh Way up one.  K Satt ran a pick and roll with I Robot who was sent to the line.  I Robot hit both freethrows putting Nike up one with three seconds left in the game.  Ooh Way tried desperately to get a last second shot off but the Nike defense was too strong and Team Nike defeated Ooh Way 71-70 in overtime.

With so many people doubting them and against them, Team Nike a.k.a “the Miami Heat of streetball” proved themselves to be champions.
