All teens need to learn about drunk driving and its prevention. But, one driving school teacher brought the lesson a little too close to home-and got too close to his students. Wine, teens, and this driving school teacher make for a big no-no…after the jump!

Iowa police say that a 62-year-old driving teacher gave wine to a 14- and 16-year-old girl and then let them get behind the wheel during a recent lesson.

Frederick Bindner allegedly offered booze to a third underage girl in an Olive Garden restaurant in Coralville on June 27, but she declined the offer and later told her father about the mix of tippling and driving, The Iowa City Press-Citizen said.

Bindner, who runs the Auto Right Driving School, faces two counts of providing alcohol to minors, which The Press-Citizen called a “serious misdemeanor.”

A judge will arraign Bindner on Sept. 1, The Associated Press said.

The father of the girl who didn’t imbibe told The Press-Citizen that he wants Bindner’s license revoked.
