A 21-year-old man from Canada decided to join the Occupy Wall Street protests in a big way, by climbing a 70-foot tall statue and refusing to come down for hours! Dylan Spoelstra climbed the statue in New York City’s Zuccotti Park at around 6 a.m. and said he would not eat, drink, sleep, or come down until Mayor Bloomberg resigned. After three hours and tons of pleads from the NYPD, Spoelstra agreed get down from the statue and was placed in handcuffs and later taken to Bellevue Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation. Watch part of a news clip from his rescue after the jump.
