Ok Showrooming is when Customers see a Product in Stores, only to Check it online and it’s cheaper, so the store misses out on the Sale, So Target would like Brands to give incentives to the Stores so they may keep traffic in the Store. We all know Online shopping is going up, which seems good for the Economy, but is it, I mean if a Store eventually closes because it can’t sell products that are online for Cheaper, then people will lose their Job, and then they can’t afford to spread money in the Community, which is what really drives the Economy! We really can’t trust that a company a few states over, or in a different Country, that offers that cheaper deal, wil spread any of it’s Profit with the Communities that are buying it’s Product, So I have to say I agree with Target, Plus, I prefer to feel out the Product(Pause) before I buy it, but maybe that’s just Me!!
Yet box stores like target shit on locally owned retailers…. I don’t really feel bad for them when they make people in my position feel the same way.
I think “showrooming” is actually when people check for things online, come to a store like target only to See the item in person, and then leave to purchase online. I might just be nitpicking your explanation though lol
