Evander Holyfield said last week that he was going to officially announce his retirement from boxing today during the celebration of his 50th birthday. “The game’s been good to me and I hope I’ve been good to the game. I’m 50 years old and I’ve pretty much did everything that I wanted to do in boxing,” said Holyfield.

There was even footage from last week of Holyfield saying he’s done, but the man has a right to change to his mind, right?!

He has changed his mind and he wants to keep fighting. “I already told people that I was going to retire, but this morning, when I woke up, I thought about it some more and now I’m not going to retire,” said Holyfield.

Holyfield wants to continue his boxing career even though a Klitschko-Holyfield bout will never happen. “Many, many times Holyfield has said that he wants to fight with me or my brother – but I refuse to go against him in the ring. He is my idol,” said Vitali Klitschko.
