In one of the more shocking stories today, Angelina Jolie just revealed she underwent a double mastectomy procedure (had both her breasts removed) to minimize her VERY HIGH risk of breast cancer…which doctors told her she was at 87%! They also revealed she’s at a 50% risk of ovarian cancer.
“Once I knew that this was my reality, I decided to be proactive,” she said in a piece published today in the NY Times. She continued on to reveal she completed the 3 months of procedures back in April, and it was done at the Pink Lotus Breast Center.
“I am fortunate to have a partner, Brad Pitt, who is so loving and supportive,” she added. “For any woman reading this, I hope it helps you to know you have options.”
