After falling from the top spot last year, Tiger Woods is back to claim his throne. Tiger was the world’s highest paid athlete every single year from 2001-2011. For the 2012 year, he was replaced by Floyd Mayweather when Floyd racked up over $82 million dollars. Tiger is back on top after earning $78 million dollars. Now just to be clear, Forbes does this list every 12 months, not exactly a calendar year. They tend to release these type of lists around June, which means with Floyd’s recent deal with Showtime, and his upcoming fight in September, it is pretty safe to say he will be on top of the list for next year. Kobe Bryant finished 3rd on the list with $61.9 million and Lebron James finished 4th on the list with $59.8 million dollars earned. American athletes Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees also finished in the top 10. Check the rest of the full list after the jump.
