Earlier this week –June 21st to be exact– footage of a home invasion in New Jersey made its way to national headlines. Thanks to a “Nanny Cam”, Shawn Custis has been taken into police custody for the senseless beating of a woman in front of her 3-year-old toddler.

According to New York Daily News:

The robber broke into the woman’s home, tackled her, knocked her senseless in front of her toddler and stole her wedding ring.
And a “nanny” camera filmed every stomach-turning moment of the attack.
Armed with the crucial video evidence, authorities say they identified the brute as ex-con Shawn Custis, 42, and nabbed him in Manhattan Friday, hours after an old mug shot was released to the media.

Thankfully, none of the children were physically hurt. Now, Custis is facing a slew of criminal charges including: attempted murder, robbery, burglary and child endangerment. Check the video below and comment if you agree.
