San Francisco Giants star catcher Buster Posey’s jersey was the top seller. Of the top 20 best-selling jerseys on MLB.com, only two belong to players — Derek Jeter and Mariano Rivera — who are older than 30.
The list is led by Posey, followed by Rivera and St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina. Despite a lackluster season for the Mets, two of the team’s players — David Wright and rookie sensation Matt Harvey — round out the top five.
The Los Angeles Dodgers have the most player jerseys in the top 20 at the All-Star break, led by rookie outfielder Yasiel Puig, who falls at No. 10 on the list despite not making his debut until June 3. Other Dodgers who made the list include Hyun-Jin Ryu (No. 11), Matt Kemp (No. 14) and Clayton Kershaw (No. 15). The Giants have three players on the list, including Posey, Sergio Romo (No. 16) andPablo Sandoval (No. 19).
