This time we have another football player. Patriots cornerback Alfonzo Dennard was arrested early this morning on suspicion of driving under the influence. Details after the jump…

Police say the 24-year-old Dennard was pulled over southeast of downtown Lincoln just before 2 a.m. and Lincoln police say Dennard failed a field sobriety test.
Police spokeswoman Katie Flood says Dennard was taken to a detoxification center but not jailed. Dennard also is accused of refusing a chemical test and a driving infraction. He has not been charged.
Dennard was placed on two years of probation in March after being convicted for felony assault on a police officer in an April 2012 incident, prior to being drafted by the Patriots. He will also serve a 30-day jail sentence beginning March 1, 2014, for that conviction.
