Rain is usually seen as a Debby Downer, but today in Palm Springs, California, it can be seen as a blessing. Fire officials fled to the scene as wild fires broke out and evacuations within the area of Palm Springs and Idyllwild, were enacted. Massive amounts of rain came down early this morning aiding the officials in their attempts to tame the fire and stop it from spreading. The rain has reduced the damage and threat of the mountain fire, allowing for evacuations of some towns to be canceled. The mountain fire began Monday and has carried out and destructed 23 structures which included seven homes through out the week. The rain this morning served as an alleviator to the fire although not stopping it, it did slow it down. Over 2,500 firefighters battled the fire, using a variety of machines including bulldozers and helicopters, yet its most important came from the weather this Sunday morning. I guess mother nature isn’t such a B**
