Nicholas Selby a Sophmore at Georgia Tech applied to speak during the incoming freshman’s convocation and got to do the deed. Well when he began to give his speech it began like any other orientation, then soon after Selby decides to turn up! He shows the incoming freshman exactly what they are capable of doing at the wonderful Georgia Tech University, Hit the jump for the motivational video!
I wish this guy would’ve spoken at my Freshman orientation because this speech was sure to wake everyone out of their seats!
Selby stated “We chose Georgia Tech because we want to do the impossible,” then continued:
“Our mission as students is not to follow in the footsteps of the astronauts, Nobel Prize laureates or the presidents that graduated before us but to exceed their footsteps, crush the shoulders of the giants upon whom we stand!” Selby screamed. “If you want to change the world, you’re at Georgia Tech, you can do that! If you want to build the ‘Iron Man’ suit, you’re at Georgia Tech, you can do that! If you want to play theme music during your convocation speech like a badass, we’re at Georgia Tech, we can do that! I am doing that!”

You couldn’t tell me he wasn’t going to end the speech with “THIS IS SPARTA!” but I guess he’s holding out for his next speech!
