Lindsay Lohan may be getting a little help on her road to substance abuse recovery from a new man. The “Canyons” star, 27, is said to be dating former NFL player Matt Nordgren — Us Weekly reports.
The embattled actress has been friends with the former athlete and current businessman for years, sources say.
“He’s a great influence on her, and her friends and family love him,” an insider told the magazine. “He’s older, a successful businessman, and he has been a great friend to her. … He’s also a Christian and won’t drink around her.”
A former reality star on Bravo’s “Most Eligible Dallas,” the 30-year-old businessman and his clean cut image provide a welcome change from Lohan’s past lifestyle. Amid her struggles with drug and alcohol abuse, the actress reportedly attempted to sever ties with many of her toxic friends before entering rehab in May. “He’s trying to keep her sober and on the straight and narrow,” the source said. “He’s really good for her.”
