There’s been a long debate about whether or not the Washington Redskins should change their name. Many people consider it to be extremely offensive but so far there’s been no movements to make a change. When faced with the question President Obama said it’s something he’d think about doing. President Obama told a reporter he would “think about changing” the team name because it offends people.
The Prez was asked about the issues renewed controversy over the past few months … and proclaimed nostalgia isn’t a good enough reason to keep the name, saying if he were team owner … there’d be serious discussion about changing it.
However, Barrack doesn’t think fans of the name are being racist — they’re just passionate for team history.
Sidenote: I wonder how this discussion even came up considering we’re in the middle of a government shutdown and all..
His response should of been. It’s none of my business. I’ve never signed the front of a check a day in my life. Cause I don’t know what it is to run a business, a franchise and for damn sure I don’t know how to run a country.
